UML convenes Secretariat meeting Monday



KATHMANDU: Main opposition party CPN-UML has called a secretariat meeting on Monday.

According to UML sources, the meeting will be held at the UML headquarters in Lalitpur.

The Secretariat meeting called after the local election is scheduled to review the party’s performance in the recent local level election.

The main opposition party which had been able to take the leadership of most of the local levels in 2017 election has shrunk to second position witnessing a shocking defeat in some of the party’s former pocket-hold areas.

All UML office bearers are in the secretariat.

According to UML Central Office Secretary Bhishma Adhikari a meeting of the Central Office has been convened on June 12 to prepare for the secretariat meeting.

The UML central office comprises party’s general secretary, deputy general secretary and secretary.
