Female voters outnumber male in Palpa



KATHMANDU: Female voters have outnumbered male voters in Palpa district. Out of the total 199,690 voters in the district, 103,010 are female and the rest male, according to the district election office.

The figure of female voters has exceeded that of male voters in nine of 10 municipalities except Tinau Rural Municipality.

There are a total of 118 polling stations and 247 polling centers in the district. Tansen, the district headquarters, has highest 22 polling stations and 44 centers while Purbakhola Rural Municipality lowest nine election stations and 17 centers.

All preparations for the local election have been completed and arrangements made to organise the poll in a fair and peaceful way, said Chief District Officer Jagannath Pant.
