New voters being provided with voter ID cards today and tomorrow



KATHMANDU: New voters are being provided with voter identity cards at the concerned polling centers today and tomorrow.

Shaligram Aryal, the spokesperson of the Election Commission, said the new voters and those who applied for a voting ID card after losing the previous ID card will be given new ID cards.

The voters will be taught how to vote while distributing ID cadres.

“Mass media, social media, and other audio -visual aids will be used to inform the voters to the maximum possible regarding voter education,” said Aryal.

On the basis of adult suffrage, the constitution grants all Nepali people the right to participate in elections.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has appealed to one and all to participate in the May 13 elections without fear.
