Ruling coalition appeals voters to support consensus candidate

A meeting of the ruling coalition held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar has decided to appeal to the people to vote for their common candidate.

Government spokesperson and Nepali Congress leader Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that today’s meeting of the ruling coalition also discussed the modalities for the electoral alliance and the formation of a coalition across the country.

Speaker Sapkota urges private sector to act more for development

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has called upon the private sector to focus on the development and expansion of self-reliant economy.

Chief Secretary of the party office Krishna Prasad Poudel, issuing a notice, invited the party office bearers and central members to attend the CWC meeting to be held on April 13 at 2 pm at party office in Sanepa.

NEPSE continues to fall

The stock market has continued its fall on the first trading day of the week, Monday.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by a whopping 44.56 points to hit 2,419.80 points on Monday.

The Sensitive Index also fell by 8.87 points. The total turnover amount exceeded Rs 2 billion.
