Be ready for MCC tender: Prime Minister Deuba

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has asked  construction companies to participate in bids that the US grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will call for soon.

Inaugurating the general assembly of the Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Nepal (FCEN) on Friday, Prime Minister Deuba urged the construction businessmen to be ready for the MCC tender.

‘Questions have been raised about what will happen to MCC, whether Nepali construction businessmen will get it or not. I have to answer this,”  Prime Minister Deuba said, adding, “However, as this project will be run with the grant from US, it will be an international tender.”

He urged the Nepali entrepreneurs to stay ready as they also can contest to bid the tender.
