Fire breaks out at Fungling Bazaar



KATHMANDU: A fire has broken out at Fungling, the district headquarters of Taplejung.

The fire broke out at Fungling municipality-4 at around 8 am today.

The fire gutted two houses and the efforts are underway to douse it, Chief District Officer Mahesh Kumar Pokharel informed.

Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force with the help of a fire engine of municipality are trying to douse the fire.

“Other fire engines have been called to extinguish the fire that is ripping through the central part of the hilly town,” said CDO Pokharel.

As many as 40 houses had been gutted when the fire broke out in Dobhan Bazaar in Taplejung district last year.
