Govt decides to conduct free health tests for citizens above 50 yrs



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government has decided to carry out a free health check-up for the people above fifty years of age.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday took a decision to conduct kidney, liver, heart and other diseases tests of citizens above fifty years of age in free of cost.

The Ministry of Health and Population earlier had forwarded a proposal about it.

Similarly, the cabinet meeting has also approved the proposal submitted by the Health Ministry to build the hospital for senior citizens.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has already initiated the work for the construction of the hospital building.

Likewise, the cabinet meeting also appointed Umesh Singh Thani to the post of executive director of Nepal Oil Corporation.
