Kathmandu CDO Rijal diagnosed with COVID19

KATHMANDU: Chief District Officer (CDO) Govinda Rijal of Kathmandu district has contracted COVID-19.

CDO Rijal said the coronavirus infection was confirmed in him in a PCR test conducted Monday.

He had to be tested in course of contract tracing and is in home isolation. His health is normal, he added.

Though he tested negative in antigen test carried out on Sunday, the result of PCR test conducted Monday showed the infection in him.

He has urged all those who come into contact with him in the past few days to adopt caution and prevent contracting the virus.
