KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) office has stopped distributing visitor passes amid the surge of coronavirus in the country.

The government has banned crowds in public places since the corona infection began to increase in Nepal in recent days.

Keeping this in mind, TIA has informed that the pass will not be made available unless in case of an emergency.

Stating that the risk of the corona has increased, TIA  office urged the general public not to come to the airport for farewell and welcome except in case of emergency.

The office has requested the stakeholders to follow the prescribed health standards even during air travel.
