Valley CDOs holding meeting today

To dwell on smart lockdown



KATHMANDU: With the cases of coronavirus surging, of late, chief district officers (CDOs) of the Kathmandu Valley are holding a meeting to dwell on the smart lockdown today.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has entrusted the CDO with the responsibility to impose smart lockdown on the recommendation of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Centre (CCMCC).

The CDOs of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are holding discussions on the smart lockdown today.

However, it has not been certain whether CDO of Kathmandu Govinda Rijal will attend the meeting today or not since he is diagnosed with COVID-19.

Lalitpur’s CDO Radhe Shyam Upadhyaya said that a necessary decision will be taken on it in consultation with the security experts.

“We will take a decision in coordination with the ministry concerned and the security experts as the COVID-19 cases are increasing, of late,” said Upadhyaya.
