Maoist Center submits PR candidates’ list to EC (With list)



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has submitted the list of candidates under proportional representation (PR) system for the post of House of Representatives member to the Election Commission (EC) on Saturday.

On behalf of the party, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ prepared the list.

The Maoist Center got 14 seats under PR category.

The party has chosen Durga Rai, Meena Tamang, Urmila Majhi Paudel and Chhiring Lhamu Lama Tamang from the Adibasi Janajati category and Hitraj Pandey, Gyanu Basnet Subedi, Bimala Subedi and Narayani Sharma from Khas-Arya category.

Similarly, Rupa Sosi Chaudhary has been selected MP representing Tharu community and Ranendra Barali and Sushila Sripali Thakuri representing Dalit community.

The Maoist Center has decided to make Meena Yadav and Umrawati Devi Yadav the lawmakers from Madheshi community. Umrawati is on the proportional list from the Nepal Samajwadi Party.

Likewise, Kalpana Miya has been selected for the Muslim category.
