MORANG: The Nepali Congress has decided to file candidacy of Man Bahadur Limbu for Morang 3(1) following the demise of Shekhar Chandra Thapa, Minister for Forest, Environment and Soil Conservation of Province 1.
Thapa breathed his last at 10:40 AM on Wednesday. He was suffering from pneumonia.
Earlier, NC had filed the candidacy of Thapa for Morang 3(1). Following Thapa’s demise, the poll body has granted time for NC to file a new candidacy on Thursday.
Limbu is NC’s central general convention’s representative and former president of NC’s student wing.
