Nepali Embassy in Qatar urges to make FIFA World Cup a success



QATAR: The Nepali Embassy in Doha, Qatar has requested the Nepali community in Qatar to help make the FIFA World Cup tournament a success.

The embassy has urged the Nepali community and organizations in Qatar to postpone any events that they have scheduled and contribute on their part to make the mega sporting event a success.

Stating that the world’s attention is focused Qatar due to the World Cup tournament, Nepali Ambassador to Qatar, Dr Naresh Bikram Dhakal appealed for support to make the World Cup a success.

The FIFA World Cup in Qatar is starting from coming November 20 and will run until December 18, the first to be held in Asia.

Saying that the high-ranking officials of the Qatari government have praised the contribution of Nepalis for the development and prosperity of Qatar, he recalled that both countries have share similar views for peace and development at the international forum.
