US Special Envoy for Human Rights of LGBTQI+ community Stern arrives in Nepal



KATHMANDU: The US Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of LGBTQI+ Persons, Jessica Stern, arrived in Nepal for a five-day visit.

She arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

During her stay here, Stern will meet with government officials, human rights activists, and members of the LGBTQI+ community to discuss efforts to protect and strengthen the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons in Nepal.

The US has been a leading force in ensuring human rights for the LGBTQI+ community around the world.

The US Embassy in Kathmandu has also been supporting different initiatives to enhance the quality of life of individuals of the LGBTQI+ community in Nepal.
