Nepal sees 868 new coronavirus cases, three deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 868 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 496 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 372 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 6,705 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 3,614 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,091 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,885 active cases in the country as 414 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Three more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,977 to date.
