I will contest the election from Chitwan: Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has said that he will contest the November 20 election to the House of Representatives (HoR) from Chitwan.

Prachanda said he has been stating that he would contest the election from Chitwan this time.

“I won’t contest from other constituencies,” Prachanda, who is currently in Japan, said.

“I am aware of the fact that Chitwan’s development is crucial for the overall development of the country,” Prachanda said.

Meanwhile, he also claimed that leaders and activists of Kalikot, Rukum, Gorkha, Dhanusha, and Siraha have been urging him to contest the election from their areas.

Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda left for Japan on August 5 on a five-day visit, and is scheduled to return home on August 10.
