Three killed in Jajarkot jeep accident



KATHMANDU: At least three people have died and eight others sustained injuries when a jeep fell some 50 meters down the road in Baleban, Junichande rural municipality-5 of Jajarkot district.

The deceased have been identified as Kalika Shahi of Gurans rural municipality-7, Putla Giri, and Darshan Shahi of Gurans rural municipality -5.

Two died on the spot and another died on the way to the hospital, police said. All the injured have been rushed to Jajarkot District Hospital for treatment.

The condition of the three among those injured, including the driver, is said to be critical. Brake failure is the cause behind the accident, according to police.
