Vice President expresses sorrow over Sankhuwasabha road accident



KATHMANDU: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed deep sorrow over the humanitarian loss caused due to a road mishap occurred at Madi Municipality-6 in the district of Sankhuwasabha on Thursday.

Fourteen people died in the accident that took place when a bus (Ba 4 Kha 735) heading to Jhapa district from Okharbote of Madi fell some 300 meters off the road near Saatghumti.

The Vice President has expressed heartfelt condolence to those individuals who lost their lives and deep sympathies to the bereaved families. He drew the attention of the government for the treatment of the injured ones while wishing for their speedy recovery.

In a press note released by the Vice President’s press coordinator Manoj Gharti Magar, the vice president has expressed serious concerns to the rising cases of road mishaps.

The vice president has also drawn government’s attention to prepare and implement the plans of action for reduction of road accident.
