KATHMANDU: Actress Karishma Manandhar has met CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli at the latter’s residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on Thursday.
Manandhar reached Balkot along with UML lawmakers Nawaraj Silwal and Ganga Chaudhary to meet Oli.
After the meeting, the actress told the media that discussions were held regarding her entry into the party and she would join the UML soon.
Manandhar said, “We discussed mutual cooperation. If we want to get involved in politics, we need to move forward with an ideology.”
“I have been thinking about getting involved in politics for a long time and many of my friends are close to the UML. Therefore, I met the UML chair to discuss today.”
