Solidarity rally held in Kathmandu for Tibetan refugees’ rights

KATHMANDU: A peaceful rally has been organized in Kathmandu on Thursday on the occasion of Tibet Uprising Day.

Nepali supporters held a rally in the Gaushala area to express solidarity with the Tibetan refugees.

They demanded protection of human rights in Tibet by displaying placards with the slogan ‘Immortal Nepal-China Relations’.

The participants conveyed the message that they support the establishment of human rights for Tibetans along with friendly relations between Nepal and China.

Thousands of Tibetan refugees have been living in Nepal since China annexed Tibet to mainland China.

The Government of Nepal has been providing them with the right to education, health and employment.

The slogans reads: Nepal is with Tibet.
