Nepal sees 1,369 new coronavirus cases, 12 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 329 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,369 new cases of coronavirus and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Thursday. Nepal recorded 2,401 new coronavirus cases and 14 deaths on Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 1,013 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 356 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 235 cases in Kathmandu, 30 in Bhaktapur and 64 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 329 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 12 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,864 to date.

Currently, there are 29,004 active cases in the country as 2,238 infected patients recovered.
