UML ready to discuss deadlock in parliament: Vice-Chair Nembang

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Vice-Chair Subash Chandra Nembang has said that the party was ready to discuss the issue of ongoing deadlock in the parliament with the Prime Minister.

Talking to journalists in Illam Monday, he said some hope has been raised after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba went to Balkot and met the UML chairperson. Until then, the government was fulfilling only mere formality.

Stating that blocking the parliament was matter of compulsion, he said however that it is unfortunate for the government that the parliament remains blocked.

The UML leader also said that the MCC agreement was signed by the two parties in the current government, the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist Center).
