RPP Chair Lingden registers nomination from Jhapa 3



JHAPA: Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rajendra Lingden registered his candidacy for the November 20 House of Representatives election from Jhapa constituency 3 on Sunday.

He got his nomination papers registered through the office of the chief returning officer at Chandragadhi, Jhapa, said chief returning officer and district judge Chandra Mani Gyawali.

His candidacy was proposed by RPP student leader Madhav Pokharel, and seconded by the CPN (UML) leader Laxman Pathak.

The RPP has forged an electoral alliance with the UML in Jhapa district. Along with him, Basanta Baniya (the constituency ‘A’) and Chhabi Lal Chudal (the constituency ‘B’) from the UML registered their candidacy nomination under the Province Assembly poll.

Of the total 662,311 eligible voters in the district, the constituency 3 has 131,432 voters, according to the election office, Jhapa.
