KATHMANDU: The vehicles carrying waste from Kathmandu to Bancharedanda have been vandalized at Aletar, of the Sisdol-Bancharedanda road section last night.

According to DSP Purnachandra Bhatt of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police Force 17 vehicles were vandalized including 14 garbage tippers, two dozers, and one excavator were vandalized by an unidentified group.

Vandalized vehicles belong to waste management companies and the private sector.

Bhatta informed that the excavators and dozers belong to Metropolitan City.

Kathmandu waste that has been making the metro a stinking site is likely to face further difficulties as the authority seems at a loss on waste management after its vehicles were vandalized.

Similarly, Bhatt informed that excavators and dozers are owned by the Metropolitan Corporation. After vandalizing the vehicles carrying garbage, there is a problem again in Kathmandu’s waste management.
