November 20 elections: Registration of nominations on October 9



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has prepared the schedule for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Election.

Candidates for the HoR and Provincial Assembly are required to register their nominations on October 9.

According to the EC schedule, nominations will be registered on October 9 for the first-past-the-post system.

Likewise, the EC has asked political parties to submit the closed list for the proportional candidates on September 18 and 19.

The EC has already approved the election schedule for the election management of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly members.

The EC will publish the final list of first-past-the-post candidates on October 12 and provide election symbols to them.

Likewise, the EC will start printing ballot papers on October 14.

Ballot papers will be printed by Janak Education Material Center. The Center said it will take about one month to print the ballot papers.

According to the election schedule, the Chief Electoral Officer and the Election Officer will be appointed on September 27.
