Six local levels give public holiday on World Indigenous Day



TANAHU: Six local levels in Tanahu district have announced public holiday on the occasion of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples today.

Shuklagandaki, Bhanu and Byas Municipalities and Myagde, Rising and Ghiring Rural Municipalities have given holiday today.

They issued separate press statements on Monday and shared this information.

Similarly, various programmes are being organized to mark the day in all 10 local levels in the district, according to Bashundhara Gharti, a leader from the indigenous community.
