Nepal sees 102 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Witnessing an uptick in COVID-19 cases in the past few days, Nepal recorded a total of 102 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 72 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 30 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,675 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,539 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,076 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 605 active cases in the country as 31 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
