Cabinet reshuffle likely after budget endorsement

KATHMANDU: The three top leaders of the ruling alliance have decided to discuss the cabinet reshuffle only after the budget is passed by the parliament.

According to a source, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal have agreed to discuss cabinet reshuffle only after the budget is endorsed.

The Unified Socialist Party had earlier this week submitted new names of ministers to Prime Minister Deuba.

PM Deuba had requested Nepal to wait for a few days.

Discussions are underway in both the Houses of Parliament to pass the budget.
