KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has responded to CPN-Unified Socialist (CPN-US) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal by saying who will be finished and who is rotten will be known after May 13 election.

CPN-US Chair Nepal dubbed the UML a rotten pumpkin at an election gathering organized by the ruling coalition in Pokhara on Sunday.

Responding to CPN-US Chair Nepal at a UML election rally in Pokhara on Monday, Chairman Oli said who would be extinct would be known after the election.

“A man who became Prime Minister for 21 months thanks to the UML was saying yesterday that the UML must be eliminated. He was telling the Nepali Congress that Oli is finished,” he said, adding, “The results of May 13 election will reveal who will be finished and who is rotten.”

Labeling parties in ruling coalition as monkeys, he warned that the ruling coalition could rig the election by seizing the ballots. “When we go to Pashupatinath, a monkey tries to snatch our belonging. At the temple one monkey comes. But in the election, there are five monkeys,” UML Chair Oli said.

“The coalition will not win by getting votes. After vote count indicates they are losing, they are likely to resort to capturing booths, tearing and eating ballots,” he added.
