Ballot papers reach all 77 districts; 78,000 ballot boxes readied



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has transported ballot papers across the country for the local level election to be held on April 13.

The commission has intensified the preparations for the election and completed important tasks including the transportation of ballot papers.

The commission has printed 19.4 million ballot papers for the local level election and said that the transportation of ballot papers has been completed in all 77 districts.

In the election, 78,000 ballot boxes are being used across the country and there are 145,011 candidates across the country.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya said that ballot papers have been sent from the central office of the Commission to all 77 districts and most of the district polling officers have already received the ballot papers.
