NC to dispel misconceptions on MCC

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has accused the communists of spreading confusion about the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact project.

The party will reach out to the people at the local level with a booklet to clarify the issue.

“There is confusion among the people about MCC. We will try to dispel the misconceptions,” party Spokesperson Dr Prakash Saran Mahat told journalists at a press conference.

The Nepali Congress party has also decided to deploy 100 youths in each booth in the local election to be held on May 13.

Spokesperson Mahat informed that preparations have been made to deploy “One Booth, Hundred Youth” for the security of the booth.

“We also implement the concept of ‘One Booth, Hundred Youth’ for the security of the booth,” he said.
