Nepal sees 2,401 new coronavirus cases, 14 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 1,017 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,401 new cases of coronavirus and 14 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday. Nepal recorded 1,957 new coronavirus cases and 11 deaths on Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 1,851 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 550 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 890 cases in Kathmandu, 25 in Bhaktapur and 102 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 1,017 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 14 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,852 to date.

Currently, there are 30,241 active cases in the country as 7,777 infected patients recovered.
