UML-RPP electoral alliance likely to be finalized today

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are close to forging an electoral alliance for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives.

Leaders of both parties held discussions on finalizing the electoral alliance on Friday as well.

RPP Spokesman Mohan Shrestha said the issue of an electoral alliance between the two parties has already been decided, and that the leaders are likely to give a final shape on Saturday.

Shrestha said that the leaders, including RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden and UML Chairman KP Oli, will continue to discuss the issue and give a final shape on Saturday.

The CPN-UML has already agreed to leave Jhapa Constituency-3 to RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden.
