UML finalizes candidates in Bagmati Province under FPTP category



KATHMANDU: Main opposition party, CPN-UML, has completed the distribution of tickets for the Provincial Assembly and House of Representatives (HoR) in Bagmati province under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category.

The party has finalized in all districts of Bagmati Province, including Kathmandu Valley.

CPN-UML has picked Kiran Poudel in Kathmandu Constituency-1 under the FPTP category.

Likewise, the party has finalized the names of Mani Ram Phuyal from Kathmandu Constituency-2, and Krishna Rai from Kathmandu Constituency-3.

Similarly, Dr. Rajan Bhattarai will contest from Kathmandu Constituency-4, Ishwor Pokhrel from Kathmandu Constituency-5, and former IGP Sarbendra Khanal from Kathmandu Constituency-6.

The party is yet to finalize the candidate in Kathmandu Constituencies 7 and 10.

Party leader Astha Laxmi Shakya will contest from Kathmandu Constituency-8 and Krishna Gopal Shrestha from Kathmandu Constituency-9.

Meanwhile, Navaraj Silwal will contest from Lalitpur Constituency-1 and Prem Maharjan from Lalitpur Constituency-2.

Similarly, Amrit Khadka will represent the party from Lalitpur Constituency-3 and Prem Bhakta Maharjan from Lalitpur Constituency-3.

Meanwhile, Raghunath Maharjan will contest from Bhaktapur Constituency-1, and Mahesh Basnet from Bhaktapur Constituency-2.

Similarly, the CPN-UML has finalized the name of Krishna Bhakta Pokharel in Chitwan Constituency-2.

However, the party is yet to finalize the candidate in Chitwan-3.
