Nepal sees 227 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 227 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 137 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 90 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,401 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,518 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,883 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,473 active cases in the country as 168 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One coronavirus related death has been recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 12,010 to date.
