Nepal sees 16 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 16 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 10 were detected through the RT-PCR method and six through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,049 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 2,121 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 928 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 109 active cases in the country as eight infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
