NYFN lodges complaint at CIAA demanding investigation into irregularities in the embossed number plates

KATHMANDU: The National Youth Federation of Nepal (NYFN) has lodged a complaint with the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Tangal, Kathmandu, demanding an investigation into the irregularities in the embossed number plate.

The complaint seeks investigation and action against those involved in the irregularities.

The Federation has asked why the authorities signed a contract with the company blacklisted by the World Bank for the embossed number.

They have also raised doubts over the authorities’ decision to use English letters and numbers in the embossed number plates instead of the Devanagari script.

Demonstrating in front of the Transport Department on Tuesday, the youth association had alleged that Prime Minister’s close family members could have been involved in corruption on the matter.
