NC lawmaker Gagan Thapa urges PM to take initiative in Kathmandu’s waste management

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker and General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should take the initiative in Kathmandu’s waste management.

Speaking during the zero hour of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Thapa said that since the Ministry of Urban Development and Kathmandu Metropolitan City could not manage the waste, he demanded the Prime Minister took the initiative.

Thapa also urged the Kathmanduites to segregate the garbage from their homes.

He also suggested other municipalities in the Kathmandu Valley to assist in waste management.
