French delegation calls on Foreign Minister Khadka



KATHMANDU: President of France-Nepal Friendship Group of the French House of Representatives, Véronique Riotton led-delegation paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka at the latter’s office this afternoon.

The two sides exchanged views on various aspects of Nepal-France relations, cooperation, and multilateral issues of common interest, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The French parliamentary delegation arrived here today in view of further strengthening Nepal-France relations on an official visit to Nepal at the invitation of the Chairperson of Nepal-France Inter Parliamentary Group, Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The delegation on a five-day visit comprises President of the Group Riotton along with the Vice Presidents, Nicolas Forissier, and Graziella Melchior. The visiting French parliamentary delegation is scheduled to pay separate courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota, Chairperson of the National Assembly Ganesh Timilsina, former Prime Minister and leader of the main opposition KP Sharma Oli, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolis, members of the private sector, think tank, among others, according to the French Embassy.
