Home Minister Khand urges NC cadres to clear rumors on MCC

RUPANDEHI: Minister for Home Affairs and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bal Krishna Khand has asked the NC cadres to make people clear about the US government’s grant assistance MCC since many rumors have been spread on MCC despite it being in the national interest.

Minister Khand said voters should be informed to reduce the possible loss that could happen just after the MCC ratification.

He added that the move of MCC ratification remained successful as the NC remained in its favour whether the party was in the government or in opposition.

The Home Minister also urged the media persons to reveal the fact and truth relating to the MCC while adding that leaders of other political parties spread misinformation to the people on MCC.

Minister Khand also defended the interpretative declaration on MCC ratified by the parliament.

On the occasion, Khand argued that NC’s victory in the upcoming poll was imperative to safeguard democracy and civil and press freedom.
