Nepal sets 196 as target against Sri Lanka Navy

KATHMANDU: In the second practice match played during the tour of Sri Lanka, Nepal has set a target of 197 runs against Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club.

After losing the toss, Nepal lost all their wickets in 43.4 overs and were all out for 196 runs.

Dipendra Singh Airee played a half century innings of 63 runs for Nepal. Bhim Sarki scored 28 and Bivek Yadav 26 while captain Sandeep Lamichhane remained unbeaten on 14.

Nepal which won the first match by 111 runs, wants to continue the winning journey today as well.

The Sri Lankan Navy will also be trying to avenge the loss. Nepal is visiting Sri Lanka for practice ahead of the triangular one-day series between UAE and Papua New Guinea under the ICC World Cup League-2 in the UAE.

After this, Nepal will play against Sri Lanka Police on March 10 and Colombo 11 on March 11. The Nepali team will leave for UAE on March 14.
