Nepal sees 1,957 new coronavirus cases, 11 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 451 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,957 new cases of coronavirus and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 1,184 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 773 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 338 cases in Kathmandu, 43 in Bhaktapur and 70 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 451 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 11 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,838 to date.

Currently, there are 36,181 active cases in the country as 5,103 infected patients recovered.
