Maoist Chairman Prachanda urges former Maoist leaders for unity

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has urged all former Maoist leaders and cadres to come together to form a strong Left party.

“I urge all former Maoists to come together,” he said at a program at his Khumaltar-based residence on Tuesday.

Stating that the Maoists had split in the past due to misunderstanding, he said that those who understood the issue later have started coming back to the main party.

Prachanda also said it was important to understand that there is always a long-term strategy behind the party’s immediate strategy.

“The leadership has come up with a strategy for the greater interests of the country and the people,” he added.
