Government forms study team to build labor hospital

KATHMANDU: The government has formed a feasibility study team for the construction of a workers’ hospital.

The team was formed after the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security approved a concept paper on the hospital construction.

The feasibility study team formed under the coordination of Chief of Labor Relations and Social Security Division of the Ministry Shesh Narayan Poudel will study the human, material, financial and managerial resources, operation modalities and other aspects for the operation of the hospital.

The team includes the Director-General of the Department of Labor and Occupational Safety and representatives of the Ministry of Land Management Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, the Ministry of Forest and Environment, the Ministry of Health and Population and of the Joint Trade Union Confederation.
