Nepal records 944 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

481 cases recorded in Valley alone

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 944 new cases of coronavirus while 297 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 696 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 248 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 362 cases in Kathmandu, 25 in Bhaktapur and 94 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 481 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there was no coronavirus-related death reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,602 till date.

There are 6,140 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Saturday.
