Had a cordial meeting with PM Deuba, says UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: Main opposition CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has described his Saturday’s meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba as ‘a nice beginning’.

Speaking briefly to the media at his Balkot based residence following the meeting with PM Deuba, the UML Chair said that he had a cordial meeting with the PM.

Earlier, Prime Minister Deuba had reached at the main opposition leader’s house to hold talks on various issues including the UML’s obstruction in the parliament, and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact.

UML has been obstructing the parliament accusing Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota of plotting for the UML split.

Objecting to CPN-Unified Socialist’s presence in the all party meeting, UML has been boycotting the all party meeting convened to resolve the issues in the parliament.

The ruling party alliance on Friday had assigned the responsibility of wooing UML to the Prime Minister.
