Oli appeals Maoist, Unified Socialist leaders and cadres to join UML

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has appealed to the leaders and cadres of CPN Maoist Center and CPN Unified Socialist to join the UML.

Addressing a program in Kathmandu on Sunday, he requested Maoist leaders to join his party reasoning that the Maoist Center could not achieve the goal of socialism under Maoist Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s leadership.

“Do you think the base of socialism can be created by staying in a party led by leaders like Dahal? Come join the UML, and embark on the journey of socialism,” he added.

He also urged leaders and cadres of Unified Socialist to desert the party and join UML. “Haven’t you seen where Madhav Kumar Nepal is heading to?” he questioned.

Oli also said the ruling coalition partners were afraid of the UML. “They all are holding the last straw to avoid sinking. One day they all will fall one after another,” he added.
