NSU cadres demanding resignation of governor arrested from Baluwatar (In pics)

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested protesters trying to show black flags outside Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) demanding the resignation of Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari from Baluwatar on Sunday.

The arrested were students of Nepal Students Union demonstrating against the governor in Baluwatar.

Police took under control students trying to show black flags outside Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) at Baluwatar, demanding the resignation of Governor Adhikari.

They took to demonstration reasoning that Governor Adhikari was a member of UML’s finance department and given the political involvement, he could not stay as the governor.

The protestors shouted slogans such as ‘M Adhikari resign’, ‘Governor with political links cannot remain in office,’ among others.
