Minister Yadav urges to keep villages and environment ‘green and clean’

KATHMANDU: Minister for Forests and Environment Pradeep Yadav appealed to the locals in Birgunj in Parsa district to keep their villages ‘green and clean’ through afforestation.

At an afforestation program organized by the Round Table Nepal at the premises of the Bal Mandir in Birgunj Metropolitan City-10 today, Minister Yadav further requested the locals to join the tree planting campaign that aims to make each village turn into a ‘green and clean’ place.

Yadav lauded the ‘notable’ works of the youths of the Round Table Nepal towards the environmental cause. “It is commendable that the youths of the event organizer who long had been conducting ‘exemplary’ works have worked ‘notably’ in the environment sector lately.”

He further said, “The role of the youths in protecting forests and promoting greenery is significant. The forests and greenery in our country would be well-preserved if the youths take the lead.”

Minister Yadav was accompanied by Birgunj Metropolitan City’s mayor Rajeshman Singh among others in the afforestation drive.
