We will bring all the encroached land belonging to PADT: Minister Ale



KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has vowed to recover all the land properties in the name of the Pashupatinath Temple which have been encroached upon.

Initiating the reconstruction of the Bishworupa temple and shed on the precincts of the Pashupatinath on Tuesday, he said the structures constructed by encroaching on the land belonging to Pashupatinath Temple would be demolished and the occupied land retaken.

The Bishworupa temple and shed were damaged by the Gorkha earthquake.

The Minister said that the Bishworupa temple constructed during the reign of Jung Bahadur Rana was damaged by the Gorkha Earthquake of 2015 and this temple would be reconstructed at the earliest.

The historic temple and shed is being reconstructed at an investment of Rs 450 million.

It is to be reconstructed within the next two years.
